MasterCard Presents Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Tournament, Showcases Payment Through Virtual and Augmented Reality

This week, MasterCard will be exhibiting new ways for paying goods. The credit card company will allow visitors to the Arnold Palmer Invitational PGA Tour event to pay for items via virtual reality glasses and payment-enabled golf gloves.
MasterCard has partnered with the Orlando-based company Wearality which develops VR glasses aside from other wearables that will show people a new method to pay for goods. Although much of the experience is peering on the future and providing a peek into what ecommerce of tomorrow may look like, the technology is ready and consumers will be able to utilize it at the PGA event.
MasterCard seek the help of professional golfer Graeme McDowell for Priceless Golf VR fun together with inclined buyers capable to determine an item like the shoes or shirt that McDowell is wearing, and buy it there instantly. The company will also offer preview of how consumers could soon make use of augmented reality (AR) technology in-store, and will demonstrate how something like a golf glove could be used to initiate payment, according to Venture Beat.
