HTC One M7 has been excluded in the list of lucky devices confirmed to receive the over-the-air (OTA) update of Android 6.0 Marshmallow unveiled by T-Mobile last week. Some tech analysts however pointed out the absence of One M7 does not necessarily connote Marshmallow will leave out the device.

In a track list posted by mobile carrier T-Mobile on its support page for software updates, it revealed that some of its devices will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. However, the list did not include its HTC One M7 units. This prompted speculations that the device might not be getting the biggest software upgrade in Android history.

Some infuriated fans took community forums to vent out their ire of the promised update on the device. According to analysts, Android 6.0 Marshmallow does not end with T-Mobile's list. In fact, the carrier underscored in its post that not all devices were enlisted on its page for future software updates. This means that T-Mobile is looking forward for more devices to experience the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

The enlisted devices like LG G4, G3, Samsung Galaxy Note, Galaxy S6 Edge+, HTC One M9 and One M8 are only privileged to get the update first before the older and mid-range handsets, as reports stated.

Meanwhile, other mobile carriers like Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, Bell and US Cellular are expected to release their versions of track list as well.

Devices included in T-Mobile's track list all come from Samsung, LG, Google and HTC, as follows:

1.       Samsung Galaxy Note 5

2.       Samsung Galaxy Note 4

3.       Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

4.       Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

5.       Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

6.       Samsung Galaxy S6

7.       Samsung Galaxy S5

8.       Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

9.       Google Nexus 9

10.    Google Nexus 7 (2013)

11.    Google Nexus 6

12.    Google Nexus 5 (2013)

13.    HTC One M9

14.    HTC One M8

15.    LG G4

16.    LG G3

17.    LG G Stylo

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring in new features and improvements like improved Google Now, better Android Pay, support for fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C and Android Pay, App Permissions, battery-saver called Doze, and a few others.
