Figma, a startup company, announced that it has raised a total of $3.8 million in funding. Thiel Fellow Dylan Field initiated the raising of the funds, according to a Security Exchange Commission filing today. Field plans on building a photo editing application that can be utilized through the use of common browsers.

Dylan Field, only 21 years old, is a member of Peter Thiel's "20 Under 20" fellowship. The young developer declined on commenting about his startup.

This fundraiser came as a similar company, Snapchat, finished its round of investment with $60 million appended into their fund.  Snapchat's co-founders are aged at an average of 23.

Field has an extensive experience in the technology sector. The California entrepreneur has worked with tech companies such as O'Reilly Media, Microsoft Research, LinkedIn, Flipboard, and Indinero. He dropped out of Brown's math and computer science degree program recently.

His decline to make a statement about Figma could suggest that the startup provides more than browser-based photo editing, writes Tech Crunch.
