The Samsung Galaxy S6 will likely receive its biggest update yet with the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Although Samsung has not made any official announcements yet, leaked information reveals a list of Samsung devices set to receive the Android M update.

According to a report by Master Herald, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will get their biggest update in the form of Android 6.0 Marshmallow six months after the devices were launched. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were released running Android Lollipop on board. The report further stated that the Android M update will be bigger on Samsung's most recent flagships than its older units.

However, Samsung is still mum on when the Android M update will roll out and which devices will receive it, reported Tech Times. A leak listing Samsung devices rumored to receive Android Marshmallow has surfaced online.

The leaked information revealed the following Samsung devices to get Android M: Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Edge+, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S5, Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A7. On the other hand, the Galaxy A5, A3, and entire E line-up are yet to be confirmed to receive Android Marshmallow.

Samsung's older models like the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 did not make the cut. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Duos and Galaxy S6 Duos were also not listed.

Gottabemobile reported that before phones get updated to Android M, some must first receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. Samsung is still rolling out Lollipop updates to its phones in the U.S. in coordination with its partner carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. It also recently released an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to the Verizon Galaxy Core Prime.

The leaked list of devices mentioned above is yet to be confirmed by Samsung. To date, the Korean manufacturer has not yet released an official statement on which of its devices will receive Android M update.
