The HTC One A9 will come with a 10-core chipset, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and Sense 7 as leaks and rumors say. Dubbed as a "hero phone", the HTC A9 will probably be one of the most powerful phones ever made if rumors on its specs and features ring true.

HTC Chairwoman and CEO Cher Wang mentioned that a "hero product" will be released in October 2015. Many assume that Wang was referring to the upcoming ultimate HTC flagship device also known as Aero.

CNET reports that the HTC One A9 will be powered by a 10-core processor. Geekbench revealed some specs of a device believed to be the Aero. The result hinted to some superior and powerful hardware such as a 64-bit deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 (MT6797) processor and 4 GB RAM. Aero's chipset is said to be on the same level as the Exynos 7420.

Leaks about the software carried by the HTC One A9 also surfaced. Android Headlines accounted for a Twitter user known as @LlabTooFer who revealed that the HTC A9 will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Sense 7.0. Aero will be among the first smartphones to launch with Android M integrated to its OS.

The HTC One A9 will purportedly sport a 20 MP main camera with Duo Camera sensor and Ultra Pixel which brings in more light by enlarging pixel size. The camera will also have a f/1.9 aperture and an ability to store images as raw files.

Pocket-lint gave more details of the HTC A9's features in a report. Aero is said to be one of the slimmest HTC devices produced, says @LlabTooFer. Breaking away from traditional HTC designs, the HTC One A9 will have an improved and thinner look with dark grey and gold color variants.

Aero is expected to have a microSD card slot like its predecessors. It is also believed to showcase a 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display overlaid with Gorilla Glass 4. Rumors that Aero will have a 3500 mAh battery lead some to speculate that it could be a phablet with 6-inch display.

HTC has been having problems in the design of its recent line of smartphones. Just recently, the company's VP of industrial design has been replaced. However, the company expects to bring an all-new look to the HTC One A9 Aero to rival Samsung and Apple.

The HTC One A9 is estimated to hit the shelves at around October to December. Since HTC is known for manufacturing premium phones, its latest hero phone, believed to be one of the most powerful in the market, might have a more expensive price than its previous handsets.
