Fullscreen completes Series A funding

Fullscreen, a next-gen media company, said on Monday that The Chernin Group, Comcast Ventures, and WPP all contributed to its Series A-funding. No figures were disclosed on the said endeavor. Fullscreen is an online video provider and producer.

Fullscreen Chief Executive Officer and founder Geroge Strompolos, when asked about the company said, "Fullscreen's mission is to empower a new generation of video creators to reach online audiences on a global scale."

"We've built scalable technology and an incredible roster of talent and brand partners since we were founded just over two years ago. This influx of capital will help us accelerate our goal of building a global media company, funding new content initiatives, continuing to invest into new technologies and furthering our rapid expansion into international markets," he added.

Fullscreen has an international network producing more than 2.5 billion views, which translates to over 150 million subscribers. The company's founder, Strompolos, was a co-founder of the Youtube Partner Program.
