Ralph L. Philips is named Chief Executive Officer of Channel Technologies Group, a subsidiary of Blue Wolf Capital Partners. Philips was previously president of Smiths Interconnect. Channel Technologies Group is a technology producer for the energy and defense sectors. Smiths' previous president, Kevin Ruelas, left the company in pursuit of other opportunities.

"We are pleased to have Ralph join Channel Technologies at an exciting time for the company. His well-rounded industry experience and engineering expertise will be invaluable as the company pursues growth opportunities in the critical defense, energy and medical technology sectors," said Adam Blumenthal, Blue Wolf Capital's Managing Partner.

Another Blue Wolf official, Principal Haranjeet Narulla, commented, "We thank Kevin for his years of work that built Channel Technologies into a market leader and wish him great success in his future endeavors."

"Going forward, we are committed to maintaining CTG's leadership status through new capital investments, a sharpened strategic focus, strong partnerships with customers and suppliers, and by building a top quality team that will spur Channel Technologies' growth," Narulla added.

Philips also served as president of portfolio company TECOM Industries.
