Apple TV and iPad Pro, the latest products to be released by Apple, were rumored to be imitated from rival devices such as the NVIDIA Shield TV Box and the Microsoft Surface Pro.

Apple TV has been a product of Apple for three generations already, with the latest model introduced last March 2013 with a tagline, "With the best HD content and AirPlay, there's always something good on TV." The device supports a wide variety of photo, audio and video formats.

Meanwhile, this device is pitted against the NVIDIA SHIELD TV box, according to Tech Times. The SHIELD TV Box is powered by a Tegra X1 chip, which is more superior than the A8X of Apple TV. NVIDIA partnered the TV box with its GameStream technolog which allows any game installed on a PC to be viewed through the SHIELD TV box. It also has NVIDIA Grid that allows users to play games which the console can't handle off NVIDIA severs. But then, this feature comes with a monthly fee.

This Android-based TV box is pre-loaded with 135 games, with 300 more compatible ones and 57 more from the Grid servers and it can also access more than 800 apps.

Moving on, Gizmag released an article comparing the iPad Pro and the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. In terms of screen size and weight, the iPad Pro has a bigger screen but it is lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Processor-wise, the iPad Pro will be using A8X while Surface Pro 3 will have an Intel Core processor with Core i3, i5 or i7 options. Both are armed with pen and a keyboard but the Surface Pro 3 includes a kickstand. They are both capable of split-screen multitasking.

As TechZone360 summed it up, the NVIDIA SHIELD and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has better features than the Apple TV and the iPad Pro.

Apple tried to create devices similar to the NVIDIA's SHIELD and Microsoft's Surface Pro 3. Based on reviews, it seems they still need to go back to the drawing board and build better and more innovative devices.
