Tension rises as Claire, Wes, and Sean tries to solve one of Drill's mysteries again in the all new episode of "The Whispers" season 1 episode 12 titled, "Traveller in the Dark."

Drill continues to prove that he is one tough supernatural force which cannot be easily defeated, in the new episode of the ABC series. According to The Futon Critic, episode 12 will revolve around the mystery as to who is real child that Drill controls. This will cause fear and confusion among Claire, Wes, Sean, and the others with them in the compound.

The new episode of "The Whispers" follows "Homesick," where Wes, played by Barry Sloane, had taken Minx to the ER since she is not feeling well. He then found out that Minx is not the only child who was rushed in the hospital. A lot of kids who are suffering from the same symptom are being kept in a room. Wes is convinced that all these children have been contacted by Drill already as Dr. Maria found an abnormality in all of their brains as if they have all been marked, Hypable wrote.

Wes decided to tell the president about his discovery and proposed that the children must be isolated to keep them all from Drill. All the kids were checked, including Claire and Sean's son, Henry.

Elsewhere, a mysterious man who appeared to be stalking Sean turned out to be a reporter, a contact of Dr. Maria, who was killed by Drill in the episode. While talking to Sean, he revealed that his real motive is to expose Drill to the public.

However, the invisible antagonist seems to always have the upper hand as he was able to possess one of the kids. Minx was suspected as the host but looks like the mystery will continue on episode 12.

As the Lily Rabe-starred series nears its end, speculations about the second season start to swirl online. Showrunner Zack Estrin previously teased on The Hollywood Reporter some information about the sophomore season, which will explore similar themes but will be told differently. Some clues for its plot were dropped during episodes 5 and 8 as few more will be hinted on episode 13.

Drill continues his evil ways in the upcoming episode titled, "Traveller in the Dark" as he possesses another child. "The Whispers" season 1 episode 12 airs August 24 on ABC.
