Mycroft might pay his brother a visit in the new episodes of "Elementary" when it returns for its fourth season this November. As Sherlock faces his brother, he will also be concerned with fixing his NYPD connection since it will be on the brink of jeopardy after his relapse last season.

CBS recently released the official synopsis of "Elementary" season 4, which teased the new challenges ahead Dr. Watson and Holmes. The synopsis posted by TVLine hinted tension between Sherlock and Joan after the events during season 3's ultimate episode, where Sherlock had a relapse after his reunion with former drug dealer, Oscar.

The detective might face criminal charges due to beating up Oscar last season but more importantly, his relapse will cause him his partnership with Joan and their consultancy with the NYPD. As he waits for his verdict, he will be handling a case about a missing woman allegedly killed by her husband. Sherlock's complicated situation leads to his reunion with his father Mr. Morland Holmes, who will be played by John Noble.

The fans' excitement shot up when Noble's attachment to the hit CBS series was confirmed. However, Design and Trend speculated Daddy Holmes will not be the only one pay Sherlock a visit in the upcoming season.

Mycroft Holmes, previously played by Rhys Ifans might make an appearance too as per creator Robert Doherty's interview with Entertainment Weekly. The reason for his arrival is still unknown so fans should watch out for the new episodes as they might see a mini Holmes reunion.

"Elementary" returns to the small screen with the possible appearance of Mycroft as he visits his brother, who will find himself in a complicated situation with Joan and the NYPD after his relapse in season 3. What could be the reason for Mycroft's arrival? Find out when season 4 premieres November 5 on CBS.
