The gods of Asgard will be back and are set to face the end of days in Thor: Ragnarok. Kevin Feige has revealed director details while actress Jamie Alexander says fans will witness her character back upcoming film.

The end of days are nearing for Asgard and although no plot details or official synopsis have been revealed just yet, reports suggest that Thanos might contribute or even spearhead the upcoming catastrophe. Reports suggest that Thanos might send in the fire giant Surtur, to bring havoc into Asgard, following the events in the Norse mythology. Aside from that, Loki or Thor might reportedly die. Loki might be killed by Heimdall, although there are also suggestions that Thanos himself, might kill the villain.

Meanwhile, Marvel's Kevin Feige previously revealed details about the film's director. Rumors were pretty rampant in the past that Kenneth Branagh might direct the upcoming movie, however, Feige cleared things out saying that he will not be sitting in the director's chair. As to when the details about the director will be revealed, Feige said that fans will be receiving the news soon,  "probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer. May be the same person, I don't know, may be two different people." he said.

Casts for the film will include, of course, Chris Hemsworth for the titular role, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Actress Jaimie Alexander is also apparently part of the cast as she confirmed during the San Diego Comic Con that fans will soon be witnessing her character, Sif, in the upcoming film, although she also admitted that she still does not know how much she will be playing in the upcoming movie.

Thor: Ragnarok is said to play a vital role in the stories in MCU. The movie is set to be written by Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost and slated to hit theaters on November 03, 2017.
