The latest news about "NCIS" season 13 surely caused celebrations among the diehards of the show. Mark Harmon's return for another season was finally confirmed. This means Harmon will once again lead the show and the cast for one more season. However, some fans also want the other casts to get more airtime, especially Michael Weatherly's Tony DiNozzo.

According to Crossmap, Mark Harmon is finally on board in "NCIS" season 13 after signing a new contract that assures his appearance for another season of the CBS police procedural. Before this announcement, fans of the show were anxious whether Harmon will return to do season 13 especially with the events in last season's finale, which put his character at a risky situation.

Towards the end of season 12's last episode, Special Agent Leroy Gibbs got shot in a marketplace in Iraq. That scene is one of the worst cliffhangers especially for the fans of the beloved character. It also left the fans wondering if Mark Harmon is going to reprise his role for another season just to see the fate of Gibbs on the show.

However, some fans of the show also want to see Tony DiNozzo get some more action on the new season. We previously reported that Michael Weatherly's character will be going after the leader of The Calling as Gibbs got terribly injured. DiNozzo will be filling in as the leader of their group while Mark Harmon's character recovers.

Aside from Tony getting some actions, fans also aired their expectations for the next season via NCIS Forums. One fan suggested that though terrorist plots are relevant, they get a bit common especially when incorporated every season.

"NCIS" season 13 will see Mark Harmon once again after he signed a new contract to play Leroy Gibbs. But fans of Tony DiNozzo must not fret as the special agent will still get into action despite Gibbs' return. The hit police procedural is slated to return this September on CBS.
