PlayStation 5 may be released in 2018? As far as gamers are concerned, that year is an ideal time for Sony to release a new version. Sony may be skipping the upcoming Gamescon event on August 5, but this does not mean they are not going to make a big announcement. Will they confirm PS5 release date? Meanwhile, new games are coming for PS4 this week including the standalone version of The Last of Us: The Left Behind.

Sony will not be holding a press conference this year's Gamescon. But previous report, however, revealed that PS5 release date announcement could possibly happen this year. The news and rumors made gamers rage online, of course. Many bolted that it's too soon for PS5 to be released, considering that PS4 has just been released in the market.

But who knows what happened in Paris Games Week this year, where Sony is set to make a major new milestones there? Perhaps, it could be the launch of PS4 slim.

Meanwhile, 12 games are coming to PS4 owners this week. The new PlayStation games are going to be released on May 12, 2015. One of the games is the standalone version of The Last Of Us: Left Behind. Other games include:

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster: Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, first released on PS2, are widely acclaimed for their moving stories, endearing characters, and memorable adventures.

Lost Orbit : It centers around the exploration of space. Players take control of a lone astronaut (Harrison) who sets off on a dangerous journey to rejoin his civilization.

Nom Nom Galaxy : A game blends tower defense, sandbox exploration, co-op platforming, resource management and construction into a unique interstellar experience.

Project Cars: Discover an unrivaled immersion fuelled by world-class graphics and handling that allows you to truly feel the road.

Schrödinger's Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark: A fun, frantic, wacky, and colorful puzzle-laden platform game, set in a unique and quirky quantum physics world.

Toren: You are Moonchild, destined to climb the tower on a hauntingly solitary journey to find your purpose.

Ultratron: Also available in PS3 and PS Vita. It is a twin-stick arena shooter inspired by some of the best classics arcade gaming has to offer.
