There is really a hype with share cinematic universe in the movies this year and will most likely continue for a long run. 20^th Century Fox is already sharing "Prometheus 2" and "Alien 5" in one big universe, probably to create a series of interconnected movies in the upcoming future. Neill Blompkap even sat down with "Prometheus 2" director Ridley Scott to alter the script of the "Alien 5" movie so that it will not interfere with the events of the upcoming "Prometheus 2" sequel.

"I changed the one thing [Ridley Scott] felt was bumping "Prometheus" a little bit. One thing that makes me feel good about it is that Ridley is producing it. He likes the idea of what I want to make," Blompkamp shared. It wouldn't be a surprise to see these two directors working on a collaborative alien movie in the near future knowing that they have been talking to make their movies blend and complement with each other.

A recently released art work of an Engineer ship for the "Alien 5" movie resembles the Engineer ship featured in the "Prometheus" movie, so it seems that the "Alien 5" film was really meant to mold its plot with that of the Prometheus.

Talks of a sequel of the Prometheus movie has already been around since its release in 2012 but details of the said movie are scarce, not until today. Fortunately, "Prometheus 2" has a finished script ready for production as soon as a go signal is released from 20^th Century Fox.

Scott Ridley is also rumored to be skipping on the "Blade Runner" sequel and will wrap up shooting "The Martian", another alien movie this year. With a November 2015 release for the Martian movie, Ridley's schedule would be perfectly available for a 2015 shoot of the "Prometheus 2" movie. Finally!

No official release dates for "Prometheus 2" has been announced but will most likely be released by the end of 2016 or early 2017.
