Australian-born singer-songwriter Sia confirmed that her upcoming seventh studio album titled 'This Is Acting' is about to be released.

In an interview with NME, Sia, who released her last record '1000 Forms Of Fear' July last year, says she that her new material is already finished and ready for release: 'I have a full album ready to go and it's much more pop.'

She also said that the success of her last album has inspired her to make more music. "I'm super productive," she revealed. "I'm calling it 'This Is Acting' because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn't go in thinking 'this is something I would say'. It's more like play-acting. It's fun."

Claiming that she only released '1000 Forms Of Fear' to get out of a record deal, Sia said: "Basically, I put this out to get out of my publishing deal.

"I was planning to be a pop song writer for other artists. But my publishing deal was as an artist so I had to put one more album out. I didn't want to get famous so I kept all the songs I wanted and had a lot of fun making it," she added.

Unfortunately, there is no release date set for the new record, but fans of Sia know that it will not be too long for them to hear her new material sometime this year.

Sia has written songs for numerous famous artists, including Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Eminem, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna among many others in the previous years.

In other news, the Australian singer and other singers helped the controversial film Fifty Shades of Grey to be the biggest soundtrack debut.

It was reported that the film's official soundtrack, including Sia's song 'Salted Water', came in at No. 2 on the latest Billboard 200, selling 258,000 units. It marks the largest sales debut for a soundtrack since 2009's Michael Jackson's 'This Is It', which sold 373,000.

Meanwhile, Sia's Chandelier was also nominated for a number of awards at the Grammy awards this year, including Song Of The Year.
