What happens when a master video game designer, a fantasy film director and a rugged crossbow shooting "walker" buster do a project together? Well, "Silent Hills" would be having all these elements and more. The most anticipated horror survival game would be ready for release by October 2016; it would have Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro directing it and Norman Reedus playing the part of the protagonist.

So far, Norman Reedus, "The Walking Dead's" Daryl Dixon, has expressed his excitement over the "Silent Hills" project. In an early interview, Reedus even showed his admiration over Hideo Kojima's and Guillermo del Toro's body of work. He added that the two directors were "geniuses at what they do."

Meanwhile, Kojima said that "Silent Hills" would run on the Fox engine, which was intended for open-world games. Other matters they would be considering could be on whether giving gamers a choice of playing the whole game on first person or third person, or keeping the the game's original third person with only a few areas that the gamer could switch to first person. Kojima added that "either way we want to do something with first person."

Earlier, a "found footage film" was released as a teaser for the upcoming "Silent Hills" game that also featured Reedus at the end. The uploaded video on Youtube featured a corridor and some eerie giggles and other unworldly auditory thrills. However, that's not the only scary video on the game that was uploaded. In fact, another video was featured at the Tokyo Games Show last year, featured a corridor that transformed into an environment much like the unholy world of "Silent Hills."

"Silent Hills" would be the ninth installment in the "Silent Hill" franchise and surely, it would give gamers sleepless nights and troubled thoughts about that cursed place, "Silent Hills."
