"Pokemon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" had reached sales amounting to nearly 10 million copies in the latest reports offered by Nintendo. Also for trainers who have already upgraded their Pokemon at the Battle Maison, which was featured in another story earlier, a new event that would challenge their skills awaits them. Plus, there's a new way to catch some additional Pokemon.

"Pokemon Omega Ruby" and Alpha Sapphire" had already sold over 9.35 million copies last year and this "demonstrated the brand's power," as noted by Nintendo Co. CEO Satoru Iwata. Iwata also said that the game "defied expectations, as they were dismissed merely as remakes."

This year, Iwata expressed his confidence that "Pokemon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" would continue to do good in the market. He added that would keep in building up the game as a standard title.

Now for "Pokemon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" trainers who would be up for testing their mettle, they could now register for the 2015 International Challenge that would be held from Feb. 27 to Mar. 01. The registration would be until Feb. 26 and the challenge would be open to trainers who acquired their Pokemon through "Pokemon X," "Pokemon Y," "Pokemon Omega Ruby" or "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire." Also trainers should expect their Pokemon beyond level 50 to be automatically set to the level 50 limit during the duration of the battle. Interested trainers could check the regulations at the Pokemon Global Link.

Also for trainers who want to catch more Pokemon, why not try the new "Pokemon Shuffle." The game could be downloaded at the Pokemon US website; trainers just need to scan the QR code on the website using their Nintendo 3DS to go directly to the game at the Nintendo eShop.

Now, what's so special with the game? Apart from happily linking Pokemon icons, the trainers would be able to capture Pokemon that were defeat during the game. Now, that's something!
