The TV world, at least the fans that support the show, have been in constant mourning since the hit supernatural drama series, "Witches of East End" was sent packing a couple of weeks back. It was nothing less of a shock and really caused dismay for a lot of people.

Even a piece from TV Fanatic recalls that with all the different television favorites that have come and gone, there will still be ones that have caught a lot of fans off-guard. A good number of shows have been cancelled after just a season or two and this includes "Witches of East End".

The sour feelings of regret and disappointment were not just felt by the fans but also by the cast and production of the show. The announcement from Lifetime network also came as a big shock for everyone involved in the project.

According to International Business Times, a petition to renew the show for Season 3 was started out by a fan named Kate, as a way to show support for the cast and production of the show. So far, with only a few days of release, the petition has now been able to garner more than 72,000 signatures.

Since the end of Season 2 on October 5, fans have looked forward to the next installment of the show as most of the characters had their own cliffhanger endings. This is a sure way to leave fans at the edge of their seats and looking forward to a next season. Unfortunately the expectation was put to a complete halt.

A report from Christian Today states that Madchen Amick, who plays Wendy Beauchamp, has a lot of hope as she sees "Witches of East End" to be renewed the same way that the A&E series "Longmire" was renewed for another season through Netflix.
