British sci-fi TV series, "Doctor Who" just wrapped up its 8th season and fans can't help but wonder who are going to be the Doctor's new comrades in the upcoming Season 9.  According to The Inquisitr, the show's producer and writer Steven Moffat has already made an announcement saying that they are already working on the script and other details for the next season.

Den of Geek also reported that Moffat graced the audience of the Royal Television Society event with some Q&A portion for an hour and a half. He gave them information regarding the recently wrapped-up season like his favorite scene and the importance of keeping the whole project discrete before they release it. He was also asked about his choice on returning the character of the Master in the show, now known as Missy.

Hollywood Reporter said that according to the show's executive producer Brian Minchin, they also started the production for Season 9 right after the day they ended Season 8. It usually takes a year and a half for a season of the show to be finished before they ever air it and that is the realistic time that fans of Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) has to wait. The show also just released its Christmas Special teaser that fans are excited to see.

Moreover, when "Doctor Who" ended Season 8, the storyline for Clara (Jenna Coleman) also ended. It is all because of Danny Pink (Samuel Anderson) who is also no longer part of the story and that just means it is quite impossible that Clara would return for another season. However, there are rumors going on that she might be back for the Christmas Special. These are all noted by Hypable.

Fans don't need to fret because the show is surely going to come back for another season. The writer himself assured this in his interview during the RTS event.
