After running for 2 seasons the well supported supernatural Lifetime TV drama series "Witches of East End" was surprisingly cancelled much to the dismay of fans who have stuck with the show since the beginning.

According to Christian Today, cast member Madchen Amick who plays Wendy Beauchamp was keeping her fingers crossed that the show will be sustained by the network for another season especially since the story would not turn out rightfully if the show was suddenly put to an end after only 2 seasons. Unfortunately though, at the beginning of November the announcement was made that the series is cut from the network's regular programming.

It is said that the main reason the "Witches of East End" was suddenly put to a halt was because of bad ratings from Season 2 as compared to Season 1. Upon receiving the news that the show was cancelled, creator Maggie Friedman tweeted, "Thanks to all the @WitchesEastEnd fans for watching. So sad that it's over but I had such an amazing experience. Thanks #witchEEs !!!!!!" Yet despite the formal cancellation, a fan has managed to put up an online petition, and as of this writing, the signature campaign has garnered more than 55,000 signatures from supporters and fans all over the world.

Because of this surprising turn of events a lot of people having been getting into the act of support for the cancelled Lifetime show in hopes of giving it the chance to be saved and be renewed again, even the likes of Channing Tatum took his stand in helping his wife Jenna Dewan who plays Freya Beauchamp as a show of support for "Witches of East End".

According to Carter Matt, Tatum got on his official Twitter page and tweeted, "I love this show. I signed it. bit.ly/1zCTcvs #renewwitchesofeastend" as he helped to promote the circulating online petition for the show's renewal.
