Fans of "Downton Abbey" have seen so many stories unfold before their eyes during the latest Season 5 with one detail that focused on Isobel (played by Penelope Wilton) announcing to her family a special life event that happened during Episode 8 of the series.

According to news from International Business Times the last episode saw how Isobel decided to marry Lord Merton (played by Douglas Reith), unfortunately though this was not a joyous occasion for the Baron's sons especially with his eldest, Larry Grey (played by Charlie Anson).

And looking into the rest of the season, it looks like a lot of fans who are expecting "Downton Abbey" to end on a happy note may well be sadly disappointed. According to Metro, one incident after another takes place revealing yet another bunch of intrigue and shocking stories between each of the characters.

Take for example capturing the rightful killer of Green (played by Nigel Harman). The season sees both Anna (played by Joanne Froggatt) and her husband Bates (played by Brendan Coyle) at the police station. Despite Anna being the participant in a police lineup, it looks to be that the current investigation may get both of them in trouble with the law soon enough.

Meanwhile, according to Radio Times, the show is reported to have their Christmas Special by December. Fans of the show can look forward to a mashed up plot that looks more twisted and exciting than ever.

And as expected another secret revealed is Miss Baxter (played by Raquel Cassidy) and her troubling past in prison for stealing from her past employer, a detail which Thomas (played by Rob James-Collier) wants her to share to Cora (played by Elizabeth McGovern), Countess of Grantham.
