Beverage firm C&C is set to spend £1.2 million to expand its operations in Northern Ireland and generate 25 new jobs. The investment will allow the company to open a new commercial business support center in Belfast, according to Belfast Telegraph.

Arlene Foster, economy minister of Stormont, lauded C&C's expansion effort: "The C&C Group must be applauded for creating much needed jobs and for expanding their Belfast operation... Today's announcement is a substantial endorsement of Northern Ireland as a location for expert services and it will generate around £1.3 million in salaries and wages over the next two years. The new centre will provide employment opportunities in an economically disadvantaged area and across a broad range of professional support services."

Invest NI, the business support agency of Stormont, has also taken part in the investment with its £250,000 contribution. A portion of the amount was taken from the European Regional Development Fund, the report detailed.

C&C Group's new business center will be located within the company's headquarters in Boucher. The Irish beverage firm already employs 50 workers in that facility, Belfast Telegraph added.
