Piqora receives $7.7 mln in Series A round

Piqora works as a marketing and analytics agent providing services for social networks including Tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram. The company has raised a Series A funding valued $7.7 million. The announcement was made today adding that the investment was led by DFJ. It was also joined by other financiers including Baseline Ventures, Firebolt Ventures, Freestyle Capital, Lazerow Ventures and Altos Ventures.

The company was established in 2012 and was then known as Pinfluencer. The company has expanded from its previous goals of serving Pinterest clients to providing services to other social network sites. Piqora referred to its clients as “visual social web”, which means that these sites were highly using photograph and other images for posting.

Piqora has already worked with more than 300 customers. Some of its clients include Crate & Barrel, Sephora, Hautelook, Steve Madden, Wayfrair, Etsy, Overstock.com and Z Gallerie. The company has already conducted tests on more than 600 Pinterest and Instagram photo contests.
