The Ensign Group Inc announced that it has snapped up Life's Doors Hospice, Life's Doors Home Care Solutions, and Life's Doors Home Health. The three entities are based in Boise, Idaho, according to The Wall Street Transcript (TWST).

The Life's Doors companies were acquired in an all-cash deal. Ensign now has ten home health firms and seven hospices under its portfolio, the report added.

Ensign president and chief executive officer (CEO) Christopher Christensen said: "We continue to see home health and hospice as an important service offering within the continuum of care, and our expansion in Boise fits neatly within our plan for strategic growth. We look forward to increasing our ability to serve the healthcare needs of Idahoans through our skilled nursing, assisted living and home health and hospice operations around the State."

Under the terms of the acquisition deal, Life's Doors will be operated by Ensign's home and health hospice firm Cornerstone Healthcare Inc. The transaction merges two of the most well-reputed home care agencies in Idaho, TWST reported.
