Content and rights manager FilmTrack has purchased Jaguar Consulting. The value of the acquisition deal were not disclosed, according to Variety.

Under the terms of the transaction, Jaguar's staff and senior managers will become part of FilmTrack's team. The latter will also integrate Jaguar's rights and royalties management software into its own service, the report detailed.

PR Web cited FilmTrack Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jason Kassin saying of the deal: "The acquisition of Jaguar is an important strategic step in our effort to provide our clients with end-to-end business solutions and will give us a unique competitive advantage as the industry accelerates its conversion to the cloud. We're looking forward to offering FilmTrack's increased infrastructure and backing to Jaguar's existing clients, and to expanding our footprint in consumer licensing where Jaguar has long been a leader. Existing FilmTrack clients will benefit from Jaguar's proven expertise in finance, accounting and royalty management."

In August 2013, FilmTrack raised $20 million in funding from Insight Venture Partners. In addition, Miramax chief Mike Lang became part of its board, Variety reported.
