LiveNation Labs adds US social search startup YourTrove to deliver improved concert experience

LiveNation Labs has purchased social search startup YourTrove. The finanancial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed, according to Hypebot.

LiveNation Vice President Ethan Kaplan said on the firm's blog: "The acquisition of YourTrove has given us two things: expertise in big data engineering, social network API's and overall technical prowess, and the technology from YourTrove that will help us power the next generation of what concerts should be for a music fan."

Under the terms of the transaction, YourTrove co-founders Seth Blank, Jesse Emery, and Nick Vlku will be integrated into LiveNation Labs, according to GigaOM.

YourTrove's search engine scans social medis status updates, including links and photos for relevant information. The platform then uses the data gathered come up with information that traditional search cannot find. This feature will help LiveNation improve concert discovery content on social network sites, the report explained.

LiveNation Labs is the digital division of ticketing firm LiveNation, Hypebot reported.
