Justin Bieber's started hashtag #JustinMeetAnita on Twitter that went viral today. This was in response to an alleged request from a dying cancer patient whose request was to meet the pop star in person. The Beliebers rallied a campaign on the social platform hoping to get the singer's attention. Some of these followers even created other accounts to spread the Justin Meet Anita campaign on Twitter, said a report from B2C.

The story behind the viral hashtag was unconfirmed. It was said that girl named Anita, 17, from Poland appeared on a TV show sharing her story and eagerness to meet her idol, Justin Bieber. Photos of her were also posted on Twitter that caught the attention of Bieber's fans.

Bieber's side did not comment on the viral post.

However, the story created some confusion after the real Anita came out and said that there had been some confusion on the tweets. She also said that the post was already an old one but confirmed that she is the girl tagged on the Twitter photo. Anita Weissbrot suffered cancer in 2011. She said that Bieber already granted her request and got to meet Justin and his mom. Currently, she is already cancer free and said that perhaps the tweet was only resurrected.
