Pop star Justin Bieber reportedly made a USD1.1 million investment into a yet-unlaunched social network specifically tailored for teenagers. According to CNN Fortune, Bieber led the seed round for a new social network for teens which will be called "Shots of Me." The social network would be launched sometime this week on the Apple Store. The developer of this project, RockLive Band, had also developed and published social mobile games.
As the name suggested, "Shots of Me" would probably be featuring many photos of its future members, according to tech website The Next Web. The developer's CEO John Shahidi told CNN Fortune that the soon-to-be-launched social network would also be dealing with cyber-bullying. Aside from that, the founders of RockLive Band have yet to disclose additional details about the new social media project.
The Next Web inferred that Bieber's move to invest in the social media venture would make "Shots of Me" popular on the Internet.
