Google has experienced a widespread outage that brought down Gmail and its other services today, according to VentureBeat.

The said outage has affected Gmail, Google Plus, Hangouts, and possibly Google Voice. Calendar, Analytics, Drive, and other business apps seem to be unaffected. Google Voice, on the other hand, is intermittent, the report detailed.

At 11:12 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST), about 10 minutes after the outage began, Google acknowledged the widespread problem. The Internet giant released a statement acknowledging the outage through the Google Apps Status Dashboard.

The message read: "We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly."

By 12:23 PM PST, Google said the problems with Gmail had already been resolved. Later at 12:25 PM PST, the issues with the Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Talk, Docs, Slides, Sites, Groups, and Drawings had cleared up, the report detailed.

Gmail inboxes were accessible again at around 11:22 AM PST, around 20 minutes after the service went down. However, some functions are still unavailable, the report explained.

As of 12:43 PM PST, Google still had not explained what caused the outages, VentureBeat reported.
