Merz Pharma Group announced its acquisition of Swiss aesthetics medicine specialist Antes SA for an undisclosed amount, according to a report published by Yahoo Finance.

Anteis is a Geneva-based company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes aesthetic medicines and devices. It has marketed its products in over 90 countries and has been known as a leader in the aesthetics arena. The company specializes in highly innovative injectable medicines such as dermal fillers, cutaneous rehydration gels, and resorbable implants. The firm also markets ophthalmology and orthopedics products, the report said.

Merz, a specialty healthcare firm that focuses on the development and commercialization of medicines for neurology and aesthetic dermatology. The company operates in the US and Canada, said the report.

Merz Pharma's acquisition of Anteis would help accelerate its growth in North America. The company also recently acquired Neocutis SA, another pharmaceutical company that focuses on dermatology and aesthetics, Yahoo Finance reported.
