Social commerce platform Roozt.com launched its seed funding round on Crowdfunder.com. Roozt intended to raise USD750,000 on the online investment crowdfunding platform.

Roozt had been gaining popularity in the e-commerce industry for providing an online marketplace between fashion-forward customers and indie brands. According to EIN Newsdesk, the platform is experienced via Movements, which is a collection of user-generated products that would reflect the creators' style and inspirations. Roozt's platform also benefits a chosen cause or charity. Roozt had partners with leading non-profit organizations such as Feeding America, Invisible Children, and Stupid Cancer to promote awareness in each of the non-profit's causes via its platform.

Founder and Chief Executive of Roozt Brent Freeman explained the startup's choice to launch an investment round on Crowdfunder. "The Crowdfunder platform, given its network of both tech startup investors and impact investors, is the right fit for attracting value-aligned investors to Roozt's current raise," Freeman said.
