A Techcrunch report said mobile games marketing platform AppLift had raised USD7 million in additional investment from existing investor Prime Ventures. Berlin-headquartered startup's total funding since its inception would now be at USD20 million.

AppLift had also hired two former executives of Rocket Internet GmbH as managing directors. Dr Hendrik Harren would now be Applift's Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. Stephen Chung would be heading the Asian division of Applift.

Applift was founded in 2012 by Kaya Taner, Tim Koschella and startup incubator HitFox Group. Applift provides a monetization and marketing platform for game publishers to obtain more users and generate revenue for affiliates. Applift had worked with more than a hundred game publishers including Wooga, King and EA. It has also upped its media partners from over 500 to more than a thousand this year.

The follow-on investment would be used by Applift to hire top tech, product and business development talents and help execute the company's expansion goals.
