Maurel & Prom Chief Executive Officer Jean-Francois Henin told Reuters that the France-based oil and gas firm was thinking of making a secondary listing in the London bourse. Henin also said that its listing in Paris had become a handicap. "It's true that our listing in Paris is a handicap, because we're the only player of our size in the upstream here," he said.

The CEO added that being in the London bourse would give Maurel & Prom more exposure to oil and gas investors in the Ango-American market. The firm would also be put in the radar of sector analysts, most of whom are already based in London."It could be Paris-London and, why not, London-Paris," he told Reuters in the interview.

According to Reuters, the London bourse had become the center of commodity players worldwide. Mining and energy firms from Africa, South America and Asia listed their shares there to attract investors.
