Facebook is again the venue of a chilling act. Derek Medina posted Thursday a chilling photograph that his friends and family would never forget.

He posted, "Im going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife love you guys, miss you guys takecare Facebook people you will see me in the news."

The man from South Florida posted a photo of his wife, who was slumped on the floor apparently dead. After the post was made, Medina had surrendered to police. The police investigation found that Jennifer Alfonso was shot dead inside the South Miami home of the couple. In the home they found the lifeless body of the wife and the couple's ten year old daughter. The daughter was unharmed.

Facebook, with all of its issues internally, still remains at the top of its game. It had reported second quarter revenues and earnings that exceeded Wall Street expectations. The social media giant gained its revenues from its mobile ad business. Overall, Facebook earned US$1.81 billion, an increase of 53% from US$1.18 billion in 2012.
