Apps continued to be most of the people's company. For millions of readers that could be found around the world, YouVersion, the effective free Bible app, changed how, where and when they open the Bible.

YouVersion was made by LifeChurch.tv, one of America's biggest and most technologically enhanced evangelical church. The church made the application as part of its "digital missions."

YouVersion was made of up to 600 translations in as much as 400 languages. This month, it already reached 100 million downloads. This allowed the app to be placed in the technology companies' start-ups.

The app was marketed as 'The Bible'. Last year, LifeChurch.tv already received US$3 million donations for the app's development. Overall, the church was able to raise US$60 million. According to the church's financial statement, it would spend around US$20 million for the advancement of YouVersion by the end of 2013.

Tyndale House's Adam Graber, another publisher of the app that provided translations, talked about reservations regarding the YouVersion's strong position in the Bible apps' market.
