Samsung is being anticipated to unveil its new flagship smart phone models, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC). The MWC is scheduled to take place in Barcelona from February 22 to 25.

The South Korean electronics giant has sent media invitations for its introductory session to be held at 19.00 CET on February 21. The introductory session is going to take place just prior to the world's largest congregation for displaying mobile gadgets, reports The Telegraph.

The unveiling event hasn't yet confirmed by Samsung. But it is widely assumed since unveiling of Galaxy S6 devices has been announced in a similar manner. The anticipation grows bigger with tweets and displaying images of the new devices by serial leaker Evan Blass, according to a report published in The Sydney Morning Herald.

The Galaxy S7 and accompanying S7 Edge are going to replace the S6 and S6 Edge as Samsung's premium handsets. This appears to be Samsung's best chance of clawing back valuable market share from Apple. The world's most valuable company dominates the luxury end of the smart phone arena.

The Galaxy variants have been rumored to have 5.1 inch and 5.5 inch displays with 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage memory. 4 GB of inbuilt RAM and new high speed charging port are believed to be differentiating the new Galaxy genres from previous versions.

The displays are predicted to be pressure sensitive imitating the feature of iPhone's 3D touches. Meanwhile, incorporation of virtual reality features is assumed to distinguish the new flagship models surpassing competitors in the smart phone industry.

The S7 species are assumed to contain larger battery compared to S6 and bring back features like micro SD card slot and water resistance. If Samsung succeeds to blend all the narrated predicted features with further development of S6 features, S7 variants will definitely be the best available pair of smart phones, reports The Verge.

Both phones are expected to go on sale all over Europe on March 11. Pricing details are yet to be leaked, but assumed to be priced around £600. The price will definitely be kept below the iPhone 7 scheduled to be available in the market in September.

Apple, the smart phone industry pioneer, is scheduled to hit the market with iPhone 7 in September. Since Samsung has failed to bag sufficient profit from S6 variants. So the Korean tech giant is possibly eyeing to bring fortune back through rocking the smart phone world with S7 and S7 Edge. Both the S7 variants will offer a blend of new and old (but much popular) features to attract the consumers.
