Aircall raises $2.75 million in seed funding

Aircall, a Paris-based start-up, said that it has raised about $2.75 million in a seed funding round. The funding was headed by Balderton Capital, including FundersClub and other US-based angels. The French online phone system said that it will utilize the investment amount to shore up its team as well as to fasten its development in the US and European markets.

The company said that it has constructed a business phone structure that does not depend on hardware like desk-phones but deploys through an app, which can be downloaded to devices like mobile phones, computers and tablets.

In addition, Aircall noted that it incorporates with business software like Zendesk, Salesforce, Slack and Pipedrive. The French start-up said it is briskly hiring in Paris and San Francisco office. Thousands of marketing teams and customer service in firms like Deliveroo and Uber utilize Aircall on a daily basis in order to assist staffs to enhance their productivity and to distribute excellent customer experience.

Oliver Pailhes, CEO and cofounder of Aircall, said, "We're experiencing such a high level of demand from customers that we want to double the team over the next 4-6 months, and accelerate the pace we're adding features to our product."

Aircall is comprised of significant features that enable client back up team work more efficiently. Users can plug-in cascading calls for their customer service team, Tech Crunch said. In addition, the start-up allows users to breed intercontinental phone numbers. For example, if a team is located in Paris, the group can have Portuguese as well as Spanish phone number so that the customers from these regions can call a domestic number.

According to Tech Crunch, the start-up firm is preparing for a major IOS update and that the Android app will be vital shortly.

According to CROWDFUND INSIDER, Aircall makes it simple for customers to do away with costly software and hardware as well as to manage telecommunications on their smartphones, with price beginning at EUR 10 a month. Aircall, which recently graduated from the 500Startups advancer in San Francisco, is an alternative in phone structure market that was infested with clumsy VoIP and customer care software.

In addition, the company said in its website that it is maintaining a public API that allows clients to retrieve their data and that Aircall is presently backing index as well as read actions. Aircall also provides features like collaborative voice response, real-time alterations, desktop alert, personalised messages and music, shared contacts, queuing, analytics and voicemail via email.
