'Scream Queens' Season 2 Updates: Lea Michele, Emma Roberts coming back for new season; Adam Levine joining cast?
The chaos at Wallace University campus came to an end when"Scream Queens" had its Season 1 final on Tuesday. While the show has not been officially renewed by Fox, everyone are already talking of what next season would be like. Lea Michele, whose character Hester was revealed to be the mastermind of all the Kappa sorority murders, teased she will be back and will be playing a reversed role in "Scream Queens" Season 2.
Hester was able get away with murder(s) by puncturing her own eye with a stiletto, managed to frame the other Chanels and ended up as the treasurer of the newly reformed Kappa kappa Tau. Meanwhile, the other Chanels ended up in the same asylum where Hester together with Gigi and Boone spent 20 years painstakingly plotting against the sorority reports Variety.
Ryan Murphy, the show's co-creator, earlier revealed that he has already pitched the story idea for Season 2 to Fox executives who he said were excited about it. He further revealed that three to four cast members survive from the last season. In "Scream Queens" Season 2, the survivors move to a new place where they have to fight a new killer.
Michele shared that she has been told of Murphy's ideas for next season and said, "I think it will be really great too to see Hester in that environment. Ryan shared that next year there would be a whole new killer," Ace quotes Michele's statement. "And so to see her really in the position of being the victim, I think would be really fun to play."
Michele also hinted that Emma Roberts will reprise her role as Chanel Oberlin. This should make "Scream Queens" fans happy because for them, the show without Lea and Emma is really hard to imagine. Others that may possibly return include characters played by Skyler Samuels, Keke Palmer, Jamie Lee Curtis, Billie Lourd and Abigail Breslin.
Meanwhile, Murphy teased that a famous male pop star is set to join "Scream Queens" Season 2 as a camp counselor. Hollywoodlife listed eight possible candidates for the said role but noted that Adam Levine and Adam Lambert are the ones most likely to be included in the cast though neither of the two has confirmed the report.
Who do you think are the four characters returning for "Scream Queens" Season 2 and who is your bet for the famous male pop star joining the show? Fans should probably wait for Fox to make the renewal announcement however, or at the very least keep their fingers crossed before thinking ahead of what the next season would be like.
