The second season of Agent Carter will finally land on our small screens next month. ABC has released the first official trailer of the new season, while also bumping the Hayley Atwell-starred series on a later date. Meanwhile, Chad Michael Murray has previewed what’s in-store for his character, Jack Thompson, and Peggy in the new bunch of episodes.

Due to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address, ABC was forced to delay the season two premiere of Agent Carter -- TV Line reports. Originally slated to air on Jan. 12, the network has bumped the superhero drama to launch on Jan. 19th.

Two weeks ago, ABC finally offered fans a sneak peek preview on Agent Carter season 2. The first trailer finds Peggy and Jarvis moving to Hollywood, with the titular character resuming her mission as a badass secret agent. The trailer was first released via the show’s official Twitter page.

The new season of Agent Carter will also delve on the relationship of Peggy and her new boss, Jack Thompson.

Speaking with TV Guide, Thompson’s portrayer, Chad Michael Murray has previewed what fans can expect from his unlikeable character.

The One Tree Hill alum said that Thompson is headed into the direction of becoming the man he’s ultimately going to be.

"He's got control over what Carter's going to do, where she's going to be. He's in charge of Sousa. He's in charge of the SSR," he shared.

Additionally, fans should expect for Thompson to continue being a jerk to Peggy. "I think we're going to see some classic Thompson. But we'll also get to peek behind some curtains and see a bit more,” Murray added.

Marvel's Agent Carter season two has ten adventurous episodes in store, starring Hayley Atwell as the titular secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). She will be joined by James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson and Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sous.

Dominic Cooper, Bridget Regan, Wynn Everett, Reggie Austin,  Currie Graham, Lotte Verbeek, Lesley Boone, Ken Marino, and Kurtwood Smith will also appear in the show's sophomore run.

Agent Carter will return on Tuesday, January 19 with a two hour episode.
