While fans are still waiting for revelation of four mystery fighters identitites for the upcoming DLC of Mortal Kombat X, game co-creator Ed Boon has confirmed that both fighters Takeda and D'vorah will be getting new skins.

Boon replied to a fan's inquiry on Twitter about Mortal Kombat X characters' skins asking if when will they arrive where he said, "They're comin'..." Some fans are also asking for new skins for other characters such as Sonya, Erron Black , Jacqui Briggs, and Cassie Cage. Apparently, some fans are starting to get bored with their favourite characters' costumes which prompted some PC modders to create fighter skins on their own initiative.

Earlier this month, Design & Trend reported that PC modders distributed classic skins of Goro and Noob Saibot and getting a lot of public attention. The Goro character wears his original Mortal Kombat costume back in 1992 sporting white shin guards, red ribbon, and yin yang design.

Noob Saibot mod, on the other hand, is a variant of Sub-Zero's Mortal Kombat X Blue Steel skin. The costume is altered and turned it into a black shadow, thus, making it look like Noob Saibot. The Kombatant was originally modeled after Sub-Zero when he was first introduced in Mortal Kombat 2.

It appears that fans are contented to receive new skins of their favourite character whether they come from official sources or unofficial ones while waiting for the next set of guest fighters via Kombat Pack 2.The first DLC pack introduced characters Jason Voorhees, Tanya, Predator, and Tremor along with character skins for some existing fighters.

A second DLC pack is confirmed to be released by next year with a pool of brutal characters such as Smoke, Spawn, Baraka, Havik, Drahmin, Bo Rai Cho, and Fujin including X-Men's Wolverine. Speculations that came out earlier also include The Joker, Sektor, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, Elvira, Indiana Jones, Neo, Rorschach, Marcus Fenix, Ash William, Alien, and Smoke.

Mortal Kombat X is the tenth installment in the Mortal Kombat video game series released for PS4, Xbox One and PC in April this year. NetherRealm Studios confirmed earlier that Kombat Pack 2 release date is happening within the first half of 2016.
