New Xiaomi Gemini Geekbench Leak Reveals Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 3GB RAM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow

A new handset by Xiaomi codenamed Gemini has been spotted on the Geekbench bench marking test recently. The device from the Chinese smartphone maker is speculated to be armored with Qualcomm's newest chipset, the Snapdragon 820, a 3GB RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

According to International Business Times, the Xiaomi Gemini has surpassed some of the other handsets as it gain a high ratings on single and multi-core test, getting 2140 and 4762 scores, respectively. This is surely an impressive number but then there are several flagship devices in the market that have gotten better scores.

GizBot stated on its article that the benchmarking suite has revealed several specification details about the Gemini. This mysterious rumored Xiaomi smartphone seems to be a flagship-level handset with high-end features. The phone will be engineered with the Qualcomm's new flagship chip, the Snapdragon 820 chipset having quad-core 64-bit architectural system. The CPU will be supported by the Adreno 530 GPU, which according to Qualcomm provides better performance and is capable of delivering photorealistic graphics.

Apart from the processor, the Geekbench also reveals the amount of RAM to be present on the Xiaomi Gemini which was listed as 3GB instead of 4GB. This gadget will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Furthermore, Phones Review reported that the Xiaomi Gemini could also be the Xiaomi Mi 5 and if this is the case, other leaks and official teases would surely arise soon. Whether or not they are the same handset, Xiaomi Gemini and Mi5 are the first handsets to be launched with Qualcomm's new processor.

As previously reported, Xiaomi Mi 5's release is on November 11. It is noted to sport a 5.2-inch QHD screen, Gorilla Glass 4 protection, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 32GB/64GB storage, 16MP primary camera, 5MP front snapper and 3,000mAh battery.

Xiaomi is also slated  to launch the Redmi Note 2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi Edge, the high-end version of the Mi 5.

Currently, there is no confirmation yet regarding the specifics of Xiaomi Gemini. But with its benchmark test results surfacing, its other features might be revealed next.
