The main characters of the highly anticipated game "Final Fantasy 15" surely have acquired a huge amount of impression, although many have always wondered why they dress in such way. But according to video game director Hajime Tabata, the clothing does make sense as it's Kingdom Lucis' official battle gear. In addition, Square Enix released a new concept art that features one of the game's highly notable enemies - the Catoblepas.

According to Crossmap, video game director Hajime Tabata revealed the reason behind the much talked-about fashion sense the main character has in "Final Fantasy 15." The clothing, which is worn by the four main characters, is reportedly the official battle gear of Kingdom Lucis. It is worth noting that the main protagonist of the game, Noctis, is part of the royal family; whereas the remaining three characters are members of various Lucian national organizations. Hence, they are said to be wearing the specific battle clothing relevant to their individual stations.

The clothing's color, which is black, plays a significant part in Final Fantasy 15's setting. IGN reported that in the Kingdom of Lucis where the main characters reside, the color black has since been treated as a special color. It is believed to be the uniting color for the royal family Noctis as well as those who work with them closely. The director further explained that what the characters are wearing will not only have an aesthetic role, but will also be a key factor which influences the flow of battle.

Meanwhile, if gamers were able to play "Episode Duscae" of "Final Fantasy 15," most likely they have chanced upon the enormous creature called the Catoblepas. Siliconera reported that Square Enix has recently revealed via Twitter a new concept art that centers on the said creature and went on to detail the designing structure behind it. Art designer Chihiro Hashi reportedly mentioned about the concept art's power and that its conception is due to the collaboration of the creative team.

"Final Fantasy 15" arrives next year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. From there, fans can get a better view of Kingdom Lucis' official battle gear.
