Earlier this year, "Final Fantasy XIV" received its first major expansion since the re-launch. However, Square Enix is not yet done, as they're set to launch Patch 3.1 on November 10. The new patch is believed to include a new 24-Player alliance raid and real-time strategy attraction called "Lord of Verminion."

According to Hardcore Gamer, the Japanese developer Square Enix is persistent on releasing patches and/or updates to the title in form of lengthy stories. For gamers who have the current expansion, "Heavensward," they can now reportedly download the latest journey, "As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness," come November 10. Patch 3.1 is slated to include new additions to the main scenario that continues directly following the conclusion of the recent story or patch.

PlayStationLifeStyle reported that players will be battling on a haunted vessel with the brand new 24-player alliance raid called "Void Ark," while having the chance to travel to remote islands using airship in new Exploratory Missions to unravel gear and items.

Also, the forthcoming patch will introduce the all-new real-time strategy (RTS) attraction, "Lord of Verminion," at the Manderville Gold Saucer. From there, players can utilize their minions, so as to wage war against other players in a 1v1 settings as well as competitions.

The "Final Fantasy XIV" patch 3.1 is believed to add exploratory missions, two dungeons (Saint Mocianne's Arboretum and Pharos Sirius Hard Mode), new Vanu Vanu Beast Tribute quests, and an extreme difficulty for "Thordan's Reign."

Meanwhile, Twinfinite noted that the wait for Patch 3.1 has indeed been excruciating for some fans. However, the "Final Fantasy XIV" team reportedly revealed that the extensive wait was desperately desired in order to give developers a room for breathing, considering the long nights needed to get "Heavensward" out and working properly.

Now that "Final Fantasy XIV" Patch 3.1 is due for release come November 10, gamers probably can't wait anymore to explore the new stuff on it. From there, they could tell if the new patch lives up to the expectations.
