Roy Martin was appointed by Truven Health Analytics as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of its commercial division, the company announced on Wednesday. Martin, who would be based in Chicago, would be in charge of several customer channels of Truven Health Analytics such as hospital, employer/health plan, clinician, and life sciences.

Mike Boswood, who is Truven Health Analytics' President and CEO, stated that he was "delighted to have an executive of Roy Martin's caliber joining [the] management team." He went on further to say that "Roy has continually demonstrated an ability to drive profits through both organic and acquisition-led growth. His experience and leadership will be central to strengthening and expanding Truven Health's position in the marketplace."
