Ever since NetherRealms game director Ed Boon had confirmed the launch of Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2, tons of speculation on who will be the next characters to be featured in the game seemed to never cease for fans and game pundits alike. Several top characters who are more likely to be added in the next expansion are Smoke, Spawn, Baraka as well as the newly teased Havik, and Drahmin.

While the game developer is yet to officially reveal the names of the fighters for Mortal Kombat X new DLC, PlayStation Universe notes that Smoke, Spawn, and Baraka will most likely be added next. Smoke's first appearance is when the game was released in 1993 and a well-loved character from the ninth installment of the series.

Spawn, on the other hand, is a comic character, soldier of the Devil who was a former government assassin killed but came back from Hell and becomes "Hellspawn."  The creator of the character, Todd McFarlane, has already given Warner Brothers a go signal to use Spawn in Mortal Kombat X.

Baraka is a Mortal Kombat fighter who first appeared in Mortal Kombat 2 n 1993. A crossbreed between the demons of Netherealm and denizens of Outworld, the warrior in service of Outworld emperor Shao Kahn have a long retractable blades extending from both his arms.

Earlier this month, Mortal Kombat X co-creator Ed Boon teased in his Twitter account the images of Havik and Drahmin, where Design & Trend noticed the images of both characters are now far more detailed than their last appearance in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon in 2006.

Other rumored guest characters include The Joker, Sektor, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, Elvira, Indiana Jones, Neo, Rorschach, Marcus Fenix, Ash William, Alien, and of course, Smoke. The Kombat Pack 2 will still contain four new playable characters but this time it has a different environment and new character skins.

Mortal Kombat X is released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Kombat Pack 2 is confirmed to be released within the first half of 2016.
