Alibaba reportedly invested tens of millions of dollars in mobile antivirus app LBE Security Master, according to VentureBeat.

LBE Security Master is a China-based Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) Android app that began as a discussion group on a forum on Meizu. An HIPS is an installed software system that monitors a single host using several detection methods. The package pinpoints suspicious activity after analyzing events that occurred within that host, the report explained.

LBE Security Master uses the mobile antivirus engine AVL software development kit (SDK) for smartphones. The app monitors newly found adware, malware, and spyware in real time. The firm's product portfolio includes authentication management, privacy space, one-click root, and LBE Security Master. The newly updated LBE Security Master already has a NFC privacy management feature, the report detailed.

The two firms reportedly planned to roll out Taobao Mobile Helper, an app distribution platform. They also planned to launch their team-up in the development of Alipay Wallet, VentureBeat reported.
