Bank of China UK on Wednesday issued $413 million worth of yuan-denominated bonds in London, as China seeks to increase the international usage of its currency for trade and investment. Bank of China also said that the bond will list on London's bourse.

The Development Bank of Japan will acquire a 24.95% stake in the Gunfleet Sands Facility, a 172-megawatt offshore wind project located in England. DBJ will buy the stake from Marubeni Corp., which bought its holding originally for $329 million.
Co-operative Bank and its parent Co-operative Group on Friday announced that it had successfully completed raising £1 billion for its rescue plan. The British bank with raise about £500 million more from Co-op Group, its bondholders and its interest savings to complete its target fund of £1.5 billion.
Bristol-Myers Squibb is reportedly exiting its stake in a diabetes joint venture with AstraZeneca for $3 billion. Bristol-Myers shifted its focus from producing diabetes and hepatitis C treatment drugs to medicines harnessing the immune system to fight cancer.
Reuters said in its report that Britain's BP PLC has closed a $16 billion deal to develop Oman's Khazzan tight gas project. Construction of the tight gas project is expected to begin next year, while first gas is expected in late 2017.
British pharmaceutical corporation GlaxoSmithKline on Monday announced that it would buy up to 20.6 million shares in Indian subsidiary GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Ltd. for a total of $1.02 billion.
United Spirits could raise as much as £675 million ($1.1 billion) in the sale of Whyte & Mackay Scotch if it will include single malt Dalmore. Sources estimate that Whyte & Mackay's exit, excluding Dalmore, is worth £450 million.
Private equity firm Round Hill Capital is reportedly nearing a deal to exit fromproperty group Vitus Immobilien to Germany's Deutsche Annington Immobilien. The deal is expected to be worth €1.3 billion.
The government of Ireland has chosen a consortium led by British energy supplier Centrica PLC to acquire the retail unit of its gas utility Bord Gais Energy. Centrica's group will buy the asset for €1.12 billion.
HSBC Holdings PLC has put up for sale its 8% stake in Bank of Shanghai Co. HSBC sold its holding in the Chinese bank to Spain's Santandar SA for an undisclosed sum.
Verizon Communications Inc. in September said that it will acquire Vodafone Group's 45% stake in their wireless joint venture. The American telco has set a shareholder meeting on January 28 to get investor approval for the deal.
Domino's Pizza chief executive Lance Batchelor decided to quit from Britain's biggest pizza delivery company as its shares dive by 8.7% on Friday morning. Batchelor will be joining a private equity-backed company in a non-competing sector.
Talal Shakerchi-backed hedge fund Meditor Capital Management is shutting down its equity fund, citing European rules that require hedge fund firms to disclose their bearish bets against companies.
Glendon Capital Management, a spinout by British bank Barclays, is expected to launch its first fund in the first half of next year. The new firm is reportedly looking to raise USD1 billion for its debut fund.
