ABRY Partners' portfolio company Confie Seguros announced on Monday that it purchased two insurance companies. Lewiston Insurance Agency and CW Baker Insurance Agency were both acquired by ABRY through its effort to make its presence known in the New York area.

Both of the new acquisitions are headquartered in upstate New York.

The insurance agencies target small to medium size clientele, specializing in quality personal and commercial insurance deal delivery. CW Baker is in Lockport while Lewiston is based in Lewiston, New York.

Both companies will retain their chiefs and staffs to continue the growth of the company. According to Confie Seguros' chief executive officer Joe Waked, "The staffs of both companies remain in place to deliver the same professional standard of operation that has existed since each agency's founding."

"We are very pleased that Tim (Smith of CW Baker) and Margy (Toohey of Lewiston) will continue to work with us to further grow our business in Western New York and to help integrate and manage the operations of both agencies," said Waked.
