The legendary former hitman might have to return to the trade once again in John Wick 2.  Keanu Reeves teased a couple of details on the sequel's plot and revealed the preparation he made for Wick's return. Production for the film is set to begin soon.

With the promise of more incredible action sequences and set pieces, Reeves said that they are aiming to surpass the elements in the first film. While talking to Screen Rant, Reeves hinted on the sequel's plot and revealed that it will bear a link to Wick's history.

"There's something from the John Wick past - that assassin past - that comes back to haunt him. I think of him as John and John Wick. There's John who loved his wife and got out of it all and then there's John Wick. And there's something left over from that John Wick world - as Winston said, right? - "It might come back and reach up and grab you!", Reeves revealed.

Also, during his talk with Collider, Reeves revealed that he has been working and training for months in Judo and Jujitsu as well as weapon style and training to make sure that the sequel will not only match the first film but also incorporate new elements.

As reported by Cinemablend, first film's co-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch also previously revealed that in the process of developing the sequel, they largely invested their time in coming up with a good story and character development for John Wick.

"...So we want to make sure we have a story and a character that everybody loves and then we'll dress it with action that we promise will be awesome", Stahelski assured.

According to Reeves tentative production date for the film will be by the end of the month. John Wick 2 is set to be directed by Stahelski and written by Derek Kolstad. No release date has been scheduled for the film yet but more details are expected to be revealed when production takes more progress.
