Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi announces its latest flagship and addition to its high demand Mi4 family with the new Mi4c. The company has been able to keep with its theme of producing an affordable smartphone with high spec. The Mi4c according to some reviewers comes with a spec similar likes the Google Nexus 5X but with cheaper price tag.

According to Mashable, the smartphone will be sold at only $204 for 2GB RAM model and only $235 for the 3GB RAM upgrade. Besides that, the Mi4c also runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit processor and uses the USB Type-C for charging similar like the Nexus 5X.

While for the phone storage capacities, the Xiaomi smartphone comes with two different storage capacities either 16 GB or 32 GB internal memory. Users can opt for a memory expansion via microSD slot.

The main difference between this device and Google according to Venture Capital Post is the operating system. The Nexus 5X runs on the latest Android Marshmallow while the Mi4c runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is reported that the device will support the Android Marshmallow too soon when it is available.

The Chinese tech blog, Yibada reported details of the phone stating that it weighs lower than Google's phone with just 132 grams and measures slightly smaller with its dimension of 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8 mm. The battery on the device is non-removable with 3,080 mAh enabling for a full day usage.

Besides the impressive specification, this small flagship also ramped up on its camera feature. The phone comes with 13-megapixel back camera and 5-megapixel front camera. Together with 441 pixels per inch screen display which enable 1080p viewing, users can guarantee to obtain a high-quality viewing. However, more details regarding the camera are unknown.

One noticeable different in Mi4c is the use of plastic housing instead of its usual metal casing which suggested that the target market for the phone is for the mid-range users.

Xiaomi smartphone is a hit in China as the phone provides a solution enabling Chinese users to be able to download apps from the Google Apps shop since the company is banned in China. The company also said that the Mi4C will only be available for China market and no words on whether it will be sold outside China soon. The latest entry also proofs that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer able to produce a good smartphone too and with lower price tag.
